Clean Up Day
Each year we take a day to spruce up our campus before Easter. There are jobs for all ages and abilities. Please join us any time Saturday, March 29 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
The Way of the Cross
The Way of the Cross (also known as The Stations of the Cross) is a devotional exercise developed by St. Francis of Assisi in the early 13th Century. The object is to help Christians make a spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion of Christ. Stations of the Cross can be found in many Christian churches, including Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, and United Methodist congregations.
Several local congregations will be particpating and we invite you to be part of this special event.
Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. Through the service of ashes on the first day of Lent, we come before God recognizing our humanity, repenting of our sin, and remembering who we are and who we can be. Join us at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary or online .

Do Unto Others - Kindness Campaign
“Do Unto Others as you would have them do unto you.”
– Matthew 7:12
Do Unto Others is a grassroots movement launched by Resurrection, a United Methodist Church in the Kansas City area, to encourage people to be intentional about treating one another with kindness, overcoming the polarization in our country through civility and respect.
Jesus taught that we should treat others as we want them to treat us – including those with whom we disagree. Known as The Golden Rule, a version of this teaching can be found in almost every religion in the world. This universal rule holds the power to bring people together again.

Half Truths
Join us for a Lenten study as we look at Half Truths. They are simple phrases. They sound Christian—like something you might find in the Bible. We’ve all heard these words. Maybe we’ve said them. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways.
Join us for this 5-week study, starting Wednesday, February 21 at 6:00 PM in the Florence Porter or online via Zoom, to search for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés with the wisdom found in Scripture.
There is a book for this study but only necessary if you would like to go deeper into the material. We will place a book order for those interested in purchasing a copy on February 5. Please let Dawn Mallory know if you would like a copy, each book costs $15.
